Abstractions of Constrained Linear Systemsions of Constrained Linear Systems Abstract Simulation relations are powerful abstraction techniques in computer science that reduce the complexity of analysis and design of labeled transition systems. In this paper, we define and characterize simulation relations for discrete-time linear systems in the presence of state and input constraints. Given a discrete-time linear system and the associated constraints, we consider a control-abstract embedding into a transition system. We then establish necessary and sufficient conditions for one constrained linear system to simulate the transitions of the other. Checking the simulation conditions is formulated as a linear programming problem which can be efficiently solved for systems of large dimensions. We provide an example where our approach is applied to the hybrid model of the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) System.Simulation relations are powerful abstraction techniques in computer science that reduce the complexity of analysis and design of labeled transition systems. Singular constrained linear systems
In the linear system Ax = b the points x are sometimes constrained to lie in a given subspace S of column space of A. Drazin inverse for any singular or nonsingular matrix, exist and is unique. In this paper, the singular consistent or inconsistent constrained linear systems are introduced and the effect of Drazin inverse in solving such systems is investigated. Constrained linear system arise ...
متن کاملApproximately Bisimilar Finite Abstractions of Stable Linear Systems
The use of bisimilar finite abstractions of continuous and hybrid systems, greatly simplifies complex computational tasks such as verification or control synthesis. Unfortunately, because of the strong requirements of bisimulation relations, such abstractions exist only for quite restrictive classes of systems. Recently, the notion of approximate bisimulation relations has been introduced, allo...
متن کاملConstrained Controller Design for Real-time Delay Recovery in Metro Systems
This study is concerned with the real-time delay recovery problem in metro loop lines. Metro is the backbone of public transportation system in large cities. A discrete event model for traffic system of metro loop lines is derived and presented. Two effective automatic controllers, linear quadratic regulator (LQR) and model predictive controller (MPC), are used to recover train delays. A newly-...
متن کاملExact and approximate solutions of fuzzy LR linear systems: New algorithms using a least squares model and the ABS approach
We present a methodology for characterization and an approach for computing the solutions of fuzzy linear systems with LR fuzzy variables. As solutions, notions of exact and approximate solutions are considered. We transform the fuzzy linear system into a corresponding linear crisp system and a constrained least squares problem. If the corresponding crisp system is incompatible, then the fuzzy ...
متن کاملA Chance Constrained Multiple Objective Goal Programming Model of Fuzzy QFD and FMEA: Model Development
There are varieties of QFD combination forms available that can help management to choose the right model for his/her types of problem. The proposed MOCC-QFD-FMEA model is a right model to include variety of objectives as well as the risk factors into the model of the problem. Due to the fact that the model also takes into consideration the concept of Fuzzy set, it further allows management...
